Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before registering interest or making a booking with UzOz Tours. By proceeding, you agree to the conditions set out below.

1. The Operator
UzOz Tours is an Australian-owned travel company. All journeys are designed and hosted by UzOz Tours with the support of local partners in Uzbekistan.
These Terms form the binding agreement between UzOz Tours ("we", "us") and each traveller ("you").
2. Bookings & Deposits
Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit of AUD $750 per person and the issuance of written confirmation.
Deposit Status
The deposit is non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law. It is used to secure boutique accommodation and specialised transport that require non-recoverable upfront payments.
Final Balance
The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to departure. Failure to pay by this date may result in the booking being treated as cancelled by the traveller, with forfeiture of the deposit.
3. Pricing & Surcharges
Prices are quoted in AUD and based on twin-share occupancy. Inclusions and exclusions are outlined on the Pricing page.
Surcharges
We reserve the right to apply a surcharge for significant currency fluctuations (exceeding 5%) or unexpected government tax increases. If any surcharge exceeds 10% of your total journey price, you may elect to cancel your booking and receive a full refund.
4. Cancellations by the Traveller
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The following fees apply:
More than 90 days before departure: forfeiture of deposit.
90 days or less before departure: 100% of the total journey price is non-refundable.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover these costs in the event of unforeseen cancellation.
5. Changes & Cancellation by UzOz Tours
Itinerary Changes
We reserve the right to modify itineraries or accommodation to an equal or higher standard where local conditions require.
Minimum Numbers
If a journey is cancelled because minimum guest numbers are not met, a full refund of all monies paid will be provided.
Force Majeure
If a journey is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics), UzOz Tours will provide either: (a) a refund less any reasonable unrecoverable costs paid to third parties; or (b) a travel credit for a future departure.
6. Health, Fitness & Conduct
Fitness
Travellers must have a suitable level of mobility for walking tours and regional travel. Please notify us of any medical or dietary needs at the time of booking.
Conduct
We reserve the right to terminate a traveller's participation if their conduct is disruptive or poses a risk. In such cases, no refund is provided for unused services, and return travel costs are the traveller's responsibility.
7. Travel Insurance (Compulsory)
All travellers must hold comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency repatriation, and trip cancellation.
UzOz Tours is not liable for any costs incurred due to inadequate or absent insurance cover.
8. Liability & Privacy
Third Parties
UzOz Tours coordinates with third-party providers (including airlines, hotels, and transport operators). To the extent permitted by law, UzOz Tours is not liable for any loss arising from their acts or omissions.
Privacy
Any personal information (including passport details) is handled in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles and used solely for journey logistics.
Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
